Syncing Ionic with Macbook

Hi

 

I have a Fitbit Ionic. I recently bought a Huawei p20 Lite phone and have horrible syncing problems with this new phone. Elsewhere on this forum I see that it's a critical problem. 

 

I would like to be able to sync my Fitbit with my Macbook. It seems I cannot do this. I have downloaded the Fitbit Connect app, and when it asks me to choose my device, it tells me I can only set up an Ionic on mobile. 

 

What can I do?

Yes, you need to set up your Ionic on a mobile device, but once set up it should sync fine with your Mac. Was it previouslybset up using your old phone? If so, you will not need to set it up again (unless you removed to from the app), and syncing should work with Your Mac and Fitbit Connect. Unfortunately your phone is not going to work.
