I see all sorts of threads on this topic saying the syncing issue with the Ionic will be handled soon, fixed soon, working on it, going all the way back to September. It's taking me 30 minutes sometimes to sync, all day sync clearly isn't working, and its the end of January. What's the deal? This watch was too expensive not to work...

Mine will not sync with my phone app either. Initially it wouldnt sync automatically but I could manually sync it, then only things like steps would sync and not sleep. Now, nothing will sync. I have tried all the steps suggested.... restart the watch, uninstall and reinstall the app, check all phone / bluetooth settings... all signs point to it should be syncing but it isn't. I've had the watch since Christmas. It was fine for 3.5 weeks now it's glitching. Any other suggestions would be helpful or any new on when an upgrade to fix the issues would be nice. This watch is too expensive to not be syncing properly.
