Have you checked a few things:

1) in the Notification settings of the fitbit app, check if the Text messages are choosen.

2) Is the right app choosen as text app?

3) If the above are Yes, try and uncheck the messages app, then go to the App-Notifications and add the text app to the list of other apps with notifications (just like Facebook for instance).

I have no idea if this helps, but hopefully it does and if not, you may find new info about what is wrong.

The same thing happened to  myself. On your Iconic move your finger  on the screen from left to right and you will see a screen  that says notifications  receive from phone  has to be showing.  Then check on notifications on fitbit the apps you want to be notified about. This will fix your issue

Hiya
Thanks for your response.
I have the Samsung 8+ and I believe there is s problem with some
notifications with iconic fit bit.
I get Facebook notifications and emails - just no text.
Would greatly appreciate if you have a solution. I have spend hours on
phone with fit bit and Samsung.
I wish I had never bought it.

@KayyatesAfter reading many complaints on the Forums, and on Fitbit's Samsung list of phones the last one there is the S6 which was released in 2015.. My Sony was released in 2016, again not on the list.  Your S8 was release early 2017.. Fitbit hide behind it's "not supported" or really not tested...... The awesome job of testing all Android devices is impossible..

All of the features I use work.. and I started a post to try and collect those of us who are successful and list our phone.. Only me and another responded..
