Please can anyone point out what had possibly happened? And any advice? The progress bar is not moving but at the same time it didn’t mention that update failed.

Are you plugged in to the charger and on wifi?

Yes plugged in to both charger and the same wifi as my phone

Did you kill the Fitbit app and try again
Is your phone an Android device?
Was your ionic upswing through wifi or through bluetooth and the phone?
If through bluetooth was the phone connected to wifi or cellular?
With the ionic their are 3 different ways for the ionic to receive a firmware update.

You aren't alone! I have tried several times over the last few months to do the updates and nothing. Into the 2nd hour this morning. I have done all the "fixes" as indicated by several forums and other messages and it's not working. I get excited watching the little red line progress and then it just starts again and again and again. It may be normal, but like you, nothing happens. I was hiking for near two hours and it never actually connected to track anything. Good luck to us!
