Hi all,
can tell me somebody how I can get my Fitbit Ionic to track my time and exercise 24 hours? I often walk my dogs after midnight and Fitbit does not recognize it in time as well as exercise. It does recognize the amount of steps.
kindest regards, kuzibri

Hi @SunsetRunner,
The Ioinc does track time, as it's a smart watch.
When you walk the dogs at night, I would manually start the Walk mode, so it knows you're walking. You can do that by swiping right, and selecting Exercise. You may have to swipe through them to get to Walk.
Then when you are done, stop the exercise, and it will show up in the activity list as exercise.
I find this the best way to track exercise with the Ionic.

I would have to agree with starting the exercise manually. You can have up to 7 exercises to choose from and for me it is not that big of a stretch to swipe to the exercise and start and stop it. I have noticed that the Ionic for me has tracked when I have been active without manual starting. I was outside doing yard work using a leaf blower for about 30 minutes and it recognized it. My Blaze never really did that feature.
However, with the Blaze and Ionic I have gotten steps counted while riding my mower cutting the grass. If I was really intent on being honest I would take it off while cutting the grass and put it back on after. I have heard others state they have gotten steps while driving and I have paid attention sometimes and I do not have that issue. It might be linked to how bumpy your ride is I guess.

Just move the "Bed time" later.
