I am about to buy my first ever health monitoring device.
I have my eyes on an Ionic, but will go with whichever gives me the best data.
My most regular exercise routine is EMS training - Electro Magnetic Stimulation, which activates muscles. I especially want data collection during those because the health monitors on the machines do not work (EMS interferes with them).
So it is really important to me to know: will the Ionic (or, failing that, other models) be able to monitor hearth rate correctly during during those workouts?
Also, if the EMS interferes with the device, is there a way to disconsider it (HR) and have other measurements work, or would I be better off taking the device off completely?

Welcome to the Forums @rsinohara!
Thanks for sharing your interest on the Fitbit Ionic, let me help you out. I personally haven't tried tracking this specific type of exercise (which sounds really cool though) what I can do at this time is share with you Ionic's information and also would like to share this article that provides everything you need to know about your heart rate tracking.
Hopefully other users that have tried tracking this type of exercise can share their experiences!
Catch you later!
