My ionic has worked really well for 3 years, where I only has a short blip with the HR function not working for a few hours. 
But about 1 1/2 weeks ago it constantly loses HR and doesn’t count steps either.

i have restarted and reset often and it comes back at some stage for no rhyme or reason only to drop out again a few hours or maybe a day later. 
I have seen many posts here and I’ve followed all the described steps but the issue just gets worse. 
please can someone help me fix this. I don’t want to switch to another system as I really like the Ionic.

I have the same problem.   Mine started a few days ago with getting a clock face error and not able to swipe the screen to move to another screen.  I did a factory reset as a last ditch effort after all the other "fixes" failed.   After the factory reset it fixed the original errors but now stopped counting steps and heart rate doesn't work.
