The step counter in the ionic is terribly inaccurate. Yesterday I went for a bike ride. I turned on the cycle exercise app. The watch counted 4000 steps even though the bike exercise app was active. Today, I watched a movie and drove to the store and it counted 8000 steps.
Anyways, I get it figuring out step counting from wrist movement is hard so it doesn't always work well.
I just don't want step counter notifications for bages and what not while I am having a low active day. Would be nice if it was more accurate, until it is, I rather just stick to exercise tracking.
How do I turn off the step counter goals/notifications?

Hi @avanarden,
To turn off the step goals, in the app, then settings for the account, and go to the section called Activity. There you can set the goal to whatever you like.
Then if you scroll down to Advanced Settings, you can disable Push Notifications, and you won't be bothered by notifications of step goals and achievements.

Thanks, Dave. But I've followed those instructions and I'm still getting a notification on my watch every hour telling me how many more steps I have to take.
Push Notifications in the app (under Advanced Settings) are definitely toggled off. My watch and the app have sync'ed. I've set my goal for steps goal set to 1. But every hour I'm still getting the darn nudges to walk more.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
