Two Issues

1.  I get no email notifications which I believe I should be getting. I can find no particular reason for this. I have configured it to use GMAIL app and even tried regular email. Nothing.

 

2.  Try as I might, I cannot get any music to sync.  Both the watch and my laptop are on the same network but my laptop still can't see the watch.  I'm running Windows 10 64bit on my laptop

 

Neither of these two issues is a deal breaker for me but I do get annoyed when something isn't working or is very finicky.  I love this watch enough to have patience with it though.  I still haven't gotten the latest update so maybe that will help when the time comes.

I have to disable bluetooth on the laptop and my connected phone to be able to sync music.

For emails notification problem i found no solution i believe a future firmware update will fix this.

In regards to music syncing you have to go to Fitbit’s Connect advanced settings and select the static ip address for your Ionic, this is how i managed to sync my playlist.

Garmin Fenix 5s Plus, Fitbit Ionic, Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus

I found turning the phone Bluetooth off on the phone then open the app on my pc and let the ionic sync then click on it open personal music and finally transfer music on the watch seemed to work for me 🙂

 

As for email if it doesn’t show up in : Account> Ionic> Notifications>App Notifications. Then try a reset of the phone too outlook didn’t show up the first time I synced the watch it didn’t appear till after I reset the phone 🙂 hope any of that helps
