Unable to complete update

I cannot get this new update to download.  It has been updating now for 12 hours and is at 50%. This is the 6th time I've tried to update it. If I go off the app for more than a couple of minutes it tell me the update failed and it needs to restart. What is causing this one to be so slow and temperamental?

What device are you using to update your ionic?

As @Rich_Laue mentioned, could you please let us know which device are you using to update your Ionic. Also you can follow advise from help article Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

I am having the same issue.  This is for my Ionic.  I had not worn it for several months and now when I have tried to update, it seems to take forever.  I have tried several times and each time it seems like it is almost finished, but then stops.  Or I get the red X on my screen...

Hello @KimB76 sorry to hear this. 

May I ask what type of device are you using to update your ionic?

Are you updating it over WiFi or bluetooth?

Have you tried both methods?
