My Ionic started dropping time and losing ability to sync on Sunday/ Monday, then on Tuesday I lost all ability to connect to Ionic. Basically it was not visible for connection any longer.
Went through all steps on help pages, switch off/on, re-install app, then did hard reset on Ionic. Now it won't go beyond 'to start, download the fitbit app'. The Ionic is just not visible to my phone or any other devices.
I've had this Ionic for 10 months, it's been fine, it was a replacement for my first one that broke after 10 months. From the forums I can see that multiple reports of similar issues starting the same time. Was there an update rolled out?

I appreciate the troubleshooting performed and the research done prior to posting. I see where your disappointment is coming from.
Since your Ionic is no longer paired to your account, please make sure you're doing this set up procedure to add it again to your account.
Before following the set up procedure, check the following requirements here and check that Power Saving Mode is turned off on your device. This model frequently causes the device to disable Bluetooth.
