I woke up the other day, and my Ionic didn't turn on. Thinking the battery was dead I put it on the charger, and the screen never gave an indication that the Fitbit Ionic was charging. I then tried to turn on, and got nothing from it. I then tried to hold all three buttons to start it, to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Thanks in advance!

Hello @wfittle, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for the information that was shared in your post and for troubleshooting your device prior to posting. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be here.

Hello, thanks for your reply/article, just as an update, I checked the
adapter plug, to ensure the connections were clean, then air dusted it, it
appeared in tack. Additionally my attempts at trying different power
sources didn't seem to do anything different(including my car, computer). I
had my Ionic plugged into a couple of them for 30 minutes or more too. What
should I do? Thanks again!

I had 20% and it went to 0% on Sunday. Now it won't take a charge. I have called support 4 times and get the same answer. Go through all the trouble shooting steps. It has been 16 months and they want me to buy a new one with a 25% discount. That sucks they know there is a problem and they are not going to fix it.

Hi there,

I am reading these forum issues and I have run into the same issue mentioned. My device (Ionic) was at 70% when I went to bed and I woke up to it not functioning at all. I went through the troubleshooting steps to factory reset the device (3 button hold, then 2 buttons following the Fitbit logo). My device now won't turn on and it is an undamaged 2 month old product. Please provide a solution.

Did you recently do the firmware update?

Im afraid it sounds to me like these have bricked (no screen, no green lights on the back, no response to the charge cable, no response to the hard reboot key sequence), Contact customer support (either chat or call them) and hope that Fitbit will replace the device.  If not kick up a stink until they do.  You can also try Fitbits Facebook presence as a point of contact.

They will tell out of warranty owners that 25 or 40% off a new purchase is the best they can do, but myself and others have had replacements sent out for older devices.

Ive not seen any evidence here or elsewhere that any of the remedial actions suggested by tech support will bring a blacked out Ionic back from the dead, but you have to go through the motions. Sorry for your luck, if its a consolation you are just one of seemingly many people affected 😞
