My Ionic has been a paper weight since the last update. I have seen the posts about Fitbit offering 25% off a new one and then will offer 50% off a new one. My question is why do I have to fight with Fitbit and pay for a New Ionic if it was Fitbit’s update that caused the crash? Oh and of course this happens a month after warranty expires. Anyone else have any luck traversing this difficult path set up by Fitbit?

I didn’t receive assistance. I read the forum and saw what everyone else was going through. I am leery about buying a new Fitbit if their own updates will turn them into paperweights. I reached out to customer service and received no reply. Maybe it is time to cut my losses and move to a new manufacturer like Apple or Garmin.

Don't give up just yet on your Fitbit! I know you are frustrated. I have been using fitbit for the past 10+ years and I know their products are solid. I use my Ionic 24/7 and it keeps my workouts fun and engaging. When mine died, I went to the forum and methodically went through each person's suggestions. My problem started after running in a driving Texas rain storm. The device display would not come on once I hit the left button. It was just a glow around the face of the watch. One of the suggestions, clean thoroughly with a soft soap, and I dried it off. I hit all three buttons at the same time and it came back on. I come from an IT back ground and FITBIT is a very good organization and there products are heavily tested. Hope your fitbit comes back!
