Updated ionic and now won't sync messages

I did the latest update on my Ionic and now none of my messages will sync to it. I have tried turning everything off and restarting and still nothing. I can still receive my phone calls to my watch and I can cancel it and answer it but that's all. Please help!!!

@Baily13 Try pressing and holding the left button then swipe from right to left on your Ionic's screen and make sure notifications are set to on.

I have tried everything that I could think of. From shutting everything
down and restarting it all. Unconnecting it. Deleting it and redownloading
it... Everything works on it but my text messages..

@Baily13 If you tried my suggestion and it did not work then I would suggest contacting customer support and they will sort it for you
