Just a note to the developers. If my ionic or any Fitbit sits on a table near a fan or ac unit. The vibrations counts as steps. When I place it on the floor no issues. Only near vibrations. I highly suggest you use GPS tracking instead, then the swinging motion.
Because any weekend challenge I can stay home and win by 30,000 plus steps and sleep all day.
Just a minor glitch

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @dphiatt, hope you're doing great! For anything else you would like to see implemented in the future, consider visiting our Feature Suggestions board. This is a space where Community users can post features, ideas, and suggestions that they'd like to see in future Fitbit products, accessories, and software and top-voted suggestions get relayed to our product team for review.
We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we very much appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers.
Our product team looks forward to reading and incorporating your suggestions into future versions of Fitbit trackers and apps.
On a side note, your device has been tested against driving, buses, trains, and other public transportation and should not give you extra steps when you’re traveling under normal conditions. On bumpy roads or in a car with a stiff transmission (vibrations) you may get extra steps. Though a few extra steps won't affect your trends, it's possible to log a driving activity and remove the steps from your account totals. For more information see How do I edit or delete Fitbit data and activities?
Let me know if there's anything else I can assist you with.
