message on face is an "X" saying "this app requires the "Internet" permission. I got the "Elegance" watch face months ago and did not have any issue.

Did you recently update or install this watch face?
Maybe the update now requires more permission.
What hspoenedhwhen you went to the clock face settings in the Fitbit app?

Rich - i installed the face back in Dec/Jan. i upgraded Fitbit app after the problem with the face surfaced. when i go to clockface setting in the fit bit app? Nothing. however, i noticed that when i go to the settings in the watch in the "about" section and then scroll to IP address it says wi-fi off. i click on it but nothing happens. any thoughts?

Is the WiFi on the phone off?
The ionic will turn on its WiFi when the ionic is charging.

iphone wifi is always on. thanks for the pointer about the wifi on watch being on only when charging. will check that!!

I would switch the watch face, then switch it back. Now do a sync.
