Watch constantly disconnects from phone

Am I the only one that is frustrated with the Ionic constantly disconnecting from their phone?  I’m always having to reset the watch, do updates, or try misc tasks to get it to connect and receive notifications like text msg, I go to bed and it works....I wake up and it doesn’t. It’s a constant battle.  Anyone else having the same issues over and over?

iPhone 8.  I did the update and hard reboot on the watch like they said to do after the iOS update.  So now it’s working, but prior to the update it was constantly disconnecting from my phone.

Here we go again.  Went to bed last night at 2:00 after NYE party.  Received a txt from my son on my watch.  Woke up this morning and now I’m not receiving any notifications at all.
