When I log water consumption on my fitbit ionic the amount I add is not the amount that gets recorded. I am using the default water consumption feature provided by fitbit.
For example, I swipe up to access the "today" app on the watch and select the add water feature. I add 16 ounces and hit the checkmark. I get a little notification on the watch that says 16 oz was added. Then I go back and check later in the day and it shows only .5 oz of water consumption was added. The .5 oz shows on both the phone app and the watch.
I'm not sure what happened to the other 15.5 oz. I tried adding 50oz and it did the same thing except the amount recorded went from .5 oz to 1.7 oz.
Am I missing something? Is it doing a conversion to mL or something?

@cudall Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.
It's pretty weird that when you log water it isn't logging the same amount that you're adding on your watch. I would like you to manually sync your Ionic and force quit the Fitbit app. After this, restart app on the watch by closing and reopening the Today app and wait at least a minute.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

This didn't fix it. The app is still only recording .5 oz each time I enter 16 oz. I also want to clarify, the problem is not just with the syncing of the watch to the phone.
When I log 16 oz of water consumption on my watch I get a notification that says 16 oz was logged. Once that notification goes away the total water consumption on the watch only show .5 oz. It is this .5 oz that then gets synced to the phone.
Should I just do a full factory reset on the watch?

Since the new update, of which I very fortunately didn't have any problems doing, I have been unable to log water on the Ionic and have it correctly sync or sync at all with the app dashboard on my android. If it syncs, the amounts change. Everything on Ionic as well as app settings is in FL Oz but when I enter 44 FL Oz, if it syncs, it changes it to1. 49 FL Oz. Not using a third party app. I've reinstalled app, logged out, restarted Ionic, and reinstalled Ionic on app... I don't know what else to try. I just fixed it last month and finally had it correctly posting and updating my logged water for a couple weeks only for this update to put me back to square one. Please help.

Mine does the same thing, except on the main screen (in the app) it says I’ve reached or exceeded my water intake goal. When I click on that it shows a much lower number. When I click on the day it shows 0.5 for one and 0.3 for another. If I manually change those numbers both the previous numbers go up. So the main page is much higher than my actual intake and the second one shows what I actually drank. My Fitbit shows the same number as the second page, so I can’t rely on that. I guess it’s better that shows more than less, but reaching 65oz (amount dr recommended) is really difficult for me, more is even harder. I feel like all I do is drink!
To keep things easier I’ve left all the numbers as is so the main page show’s the correct amount.
This 0.__ only happens when adding water on the Fitbit itself and not the app. I’ll just add it to the app until I hear it’s fixed. I will say that that is inconvenience as I don’t like taking my phone everywhere. It usually stays in the car if I’m visiting family or friends. Phones are too disruptive and take away from face to face time.
Please do let me know when a fix is found and what I need to do.

@Onyxwar Welcome to the Community. I appreciate the time you took to share how you've been using the water consumption on your Ionic and the app.
I totally agree with you about phones taking away from face to face time. At the moment, the workaround will be to log water in the Fitbit app. Your patience and understanding is appreciated while this gets resolved.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Water tracker in Today app is not working properly. It is converting oz to ml even though app is set up for tracking in ounces. Same Problem was identified for Versa2.
If you enter 236, that will convert to about 8 oz.
FYI - same problem for weight tracker, as well.

I am having the same issue. Logging water through the ionic does not record properly in the app on the phone. Thank you.

This same situation affects my ionic also. Yes, entering it through the app works fine but after spending this much money everything should work. I have been reading through some other issues with the ionic and mine is plagued by some f them but not all. ie, I question the GPS accuracy, the watch powered down on a run one morning, (fortunately I did not lose any data), the heart rate is often over estimating by 20 or more bpm. I haven't tried it swimming yet but that will be soon.

@drchris and @TZ_Tori Welcome to the Community. It's nice to see new users on the forums.
Thanks for reporting the issue you're experiencing with water logging. I truly appreciate that you mentioned you're logging water in the Fitbit app.
Your feedback is appreciated, we're always striving to improve our services offered. The workaround will be to delete the entries and re-add them directly to your mobile app.
As mentioned before, we’re aware of it and are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.
Please let us know if there's anything we can do to assist you in the meantime.

Here is what I have observed regarding the H2O syncing. I can enter it in the watch and it records it to the watch correctly. The app and the watch don't always sync correctly to have matching data.
