Hmm? Seems odd. I just tried it on mine with the 3.0 firmware. It did not take it at first. But wanted it use “Current Location”. Tried multiple times. Fail. Nada. That looks to be a bug.
But then manually inputted the location name. And boom. It worked. Tried changing the location name and no problems. Worked immediately as well. Tried to go back using the “Current Location” for kicks -> No go. Nothing.
So try inputting a location first. But make sure all permissions are enabled. Did not need to re-boot the whole time. Give that a try -> then do the restart - shut down - reset to factory and update protocols. Or call the number below. It should work unless your Ionic is defective. If it is they should send you a replacement.
