Few days ago my Ionic started acting strange when I turn my wrist to turn on the backlight. It's hard to explain so look at the gif:
What it does is fading in gradually showing previously displayed screen ( in this case you can see a silhoutte of person in the middle which is a ghost of my watch face ). The gif has been sped up twice. It happens on any screen, any app. All I can think is this issue happened somehow due to water as I noticed it first right after taking shower ( and I am sure it wasn't there before ).
- I tried restarts
- Didn't try factory reset ( and not going to )
- It isn't related to the watch face ( it happens in the apps too )
If I have to perform factory reset and go through whole setup again then that's it - quicker and less painful is to get another tracker.
Did anyone see anything like that? It doesn't seem to affect functionality but looks like Ionic isn't fully shower proof and it annoys me ( this flash is twice slower than on the gif and at the peak point you can't see what's really on screen ).

It's hard to know what's causing the issue. The only way to rule out a software issue would be the factory reset, but you've said you'd rather not do that. Although personally, I would agree in thinking it to be a hardware issue.
In that case your only option would be to contact customer support.

I think I may need to contact customer support. This is probably hardware issue. I believe it isn't coincidence that it happened during the contact with water. From what I see I bought Ionic in february so it isn't even a year old but don't have any proof of purchase ( bought it at the Gatwick airport before departure and set it up exactly right after waiting for a gate to open ). Not sure if this may be a problem. It may not be worth all the stress as there is no guarantee next Ionic will be any better.
