My question today is about the pause feature during workouts. Several times during a run my Ionic gets paused by accident and I don't always catch it right away. What does the Ionic do when paused? Does it still track steps or any activity at all? Also, accidently hitting pause is irritating and it would be nice if we could disable the pause feature from the touchscreen to prevent this from happening.
For anyone who read my other posts recently, I've got a new Ionic. My 1st one was defective and retuned to fitbit. Side note, fitbit acknowledged it was defective but would NOT replace it, bc they said it couldnt be fixed. Terrible customer service, what about the so called warranty?! So I bought a new one from Best Buy a couple weeks later. I'm mad I'm still giving them money but once I had a taste of the feature upgrades I wanted to try one more time. The new Ionic works better but still has a few issues I won't waste time on here.

Hi @Minkah,
That's a good question. As far as I know, the pausing only has an effect on the tracked workout being paused. Steps and heart rate information will still be tracked. It just won't show up in that same workout. So if I pause and walk around before un-pausing the workout, those steps in between won't show up on the workout, but will on the daily totals.
I had some initial issues with accidental pauses, but they seem to have gone away. For a while I was wearing a wrist sweatband over the tracker, to stop the screen from being activated.

Hi @WavyDavey, thanks for the info. It's very cold where I am so I'm wearing long sleeves and a light jacket for most runs right now. I suspected that the sleeves are the culprit but it's not an option to pull them up till its warmer. I think I lost about .5 or .75 off my run yesterday as a result 😞 Not a lot but still very frustrating! Thanks again!
