Hi there,
Simple question. Will there ever be an Ionic 2?
My Ionic is now 3 years old and has been through a lot with me. It has loads of scratches and scuffs, battery only lasts for up to 2 days. I would like to get something new. I don't want to buy another old outdated Ionic. I was thinking about Sense or versa 3 but those are just not my style. I absolutely hate the look of Versa. It's like it was designed for women only. Just my opinion, don't kill me for it.
A new upgraded Ionic with amoled display would be awesome. I tried finding some info online but it looks like Ionic 2 isn't going to happen. Was also thinking about switching to other brand but they don't seem to have good sleep tracking like fitbit and that's a dealbreaker for me.
So, will there ever be an Ionic 2?

In all honesty, I really doubt it. The Versa 3 has taken the place of the Ionic and the Sense is now the flagship watch.
I'm with you though, really liked the blocky look of the Ionic. My burnt orange one always got a 'Oooooh I love your watch' remark.
When mine gives up the ghost I will probably move to Garmin. The new 745 does sleep tracking (not sure how great it is) and has a long battery AND has spotify offline.

+1.
Given the number of other Fitbit options and the new versions that do everything and more that the Ionic does, I think it will be relegated to a not too illustrious history of what could have been, but dismally failed due to poor engineering, build quality and software development/support.
Vale Ionic!

I just wish I could have versa 3 or sense in Ionic's casing. I always liked Ionic's modern and stylish look. Versa is just not my style at all. I don't think it's any man's style to be honest. And if you're a bigger posture versa will look stupid on your big wrist. Oh well.

I've done a lot of research and the problem with Garmin's sleep tracking is that it doesn't automatically detect when you're asleep. You need to manually input your "usual" sleep hours and only during those hours it will track your sleep. The problem is when you're in bed reading a book during your usual sleep hours garmin will record it as sleep. It won't record naps. Garmin's sleep tracking is a bit erm poor.

I also tried garmin for a month return it because their analog seem off and I sure the the dimmest of the screen is for whatever purpose but for some who wear dark shades like a mistress of the night outside as much as I do well I could never see the screen. And it did not track sleep right and it may me feel like I was sleepwalking as I always wokeup.with like 400 steps. I traded it out and it was the same thing. After try well over 5 watches the samsung gs r750 was the only one to impressed me like fitbit use to.
