Is the Ionic able to use other wireless headphones or only the ones produced by Fit Bit?

I spoke to Best Buy employees and was told any BT would pair. They instructed me to purchase JBLs. They do not work with the ionic. Now I have music I can’t listen to and used headphones I can take back. Customer support for FitBit said some don’t work. No answer for which ones do other than their brand.

I am sorry to hear about that- I also thought any BT head phones would work. I am also pretty sure Best Buy takes back anything with a receipt. They are pretty good with that type of customer service...

I have a pair of JBL sport earphones and they pair fine.  What kind do you have?  As long as they're not rated "Bluetooth Smart", any BT ear/headphones should pair.
