Workaround to sync Ionic with One Plus 6T

Hi, so I have a One Plus 6T and recently brought a Fitbit iconic without checking to see if it was compatible with my phone.

The issue I had was that it would sync with my phone to get phone notification for about 30 mins if I was lucky then when I would go back to the app I would get a pink box stating  service not running phone reset is required which never works!!!. The recent Fitbit update also didn't fix this issue.

So yeah kinda annoyed do I sell my Fitbit or get a compatable phone. That was until today the issue is when the Fitbit app closes notification in the background stop regardless of your phones settings.

1. Delete the app on your phone.

2 check Bluetooth and click on forget.

3 download app again run through the process.

4 link you phone to your app.

5 go to notification click on all notifications on.

6 the fix the square at the bottom of your phone which minimises the screen press it the screen will shrink now top right above the app page you will see 3 dots press it you have an option to lock the screen do it I've gone 8 hours today without a sync issue I hope my method helps.

@Nilly It's great to see you around. Thanks for taking the time to share the steps that have helped you syncing your Ionic with One Plus 6T.

I'm sure this will help others visiting the Fitbit Community.

Please note that your phone or tablet is not on our list of compatible devices. We confirmed that the devices on this list are fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.

We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone or tablet meets the minimum operating system requirements.

Hope I can continue seeing you around.
