For security reasons my router requests mac address's in order to connect to the wifi...this is so unrecognized devices can't jump on my network even if they are able to figure out the password. I am trying to set up my ionic but I am not sure how to find the mac address...anyone got any ideas???

To be fair, I have the developer firmware, so my apologies if not there.

I went to settings but there was no about tab. What should I do?

I don't see any About menu option in the settings either. The last option in the settings is Device Lock and below that is Remove This Ionic.
There is nothing under Wi-Fi settings either because I need the MAC ID before I can connect.
No About under Advanced Settings either.

What buttons do you press to get into the settings on the Ionic? I don't think I can access anything on the Ionic because it seems to want to update before doing anything else.

@uncommonsense. Looks like you have other issues there... But to get what I posted.
1. Push the LH button on the Ionic
2. Swipe right and you should see on the same screen, Battery, Screen awake and Notifications settings.
3. Swipe left for the Apps until you see Settings,, then tap Settings, swipe UP to get About , tap that and you will see MAC Address..

It just shows a green Fitbit logo with an update link underneath it.

Swiping doesn't work. The left button turns the screen with the green Fitbit logo off and on, but that appears to be it. It looks like I am locked out of the info (MAC ID) that I need in order to connect to the network and update by the update or setup itself. How ironic.

@uncommonsenseI'm hoping someone will chime, in because it's now 4 weeks since I set my Ionic and it just happened. and has been trouble free since..... I know it took over an hour .
This link will take you to the Ionic Help area for the manual and setup etc
