iPad not syncing

So after returning one Iconic because it wouldn't sync to phone or iPadI finally got it to sync to my phone after hours of pulling my hair out and now it won't sync to my iPad. I've restarted my Ipad and bluetooth on it so many times I'm pretty sure I've worn out the buttons.

Hi, @Moirai, if it is "paired" to your phone (i.e. you are receiving notifications on your Ionic) your Ionic will not sync to your iPad.  In order to sync to your iPad you will need to turn off the Bluetooth on your phone and then it should sync to the iPad (3rd generation or higher).  When you would like to sync to your phone again, make sure you turn BT back on (and you may need to turn BT off on the iPad, depending on whether it paired to that).

I hope this helps.

Interesting though as I had my Blaze paired with both and it worked fine so I've down graded in a way.

Thank you for the answer

Hi, @Moirai, you can have it SYNCING with both, but you cannot PAIR with both (at the same time).  That is true of the Blaze as well, so no downgrade.

@Moirai, if it is PAIRED to your phone, you must turn off Bluetooth on your phone in order for it to SYNC to your iPad.  Once it is paired to a device it will not pair, or sync, to another device.  This is true of all Fitbits (inc Ionic, Blaze, Alta, Alta HR, Charge HR) that can receive notifications.

Switching between devices is very simple.  Just toggle Bluetooth off on the device it is paired to.  Then it will sync with another device.

If yu would like it to sync to your IPad Pro 10.5, then turn off Bluetooth on your IPhone.  (You can turn it back on again once it is synced.)
