iPhone/Ionic Text Message Connection Issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I know issues similar to this have been addressed several times, but I have not seen a Topic regarding intermittent text message connections with the iPhone. So, I get a text message on my iPhone but my Ionic doesn't get the text or vibrate. I check my settings (Notifications, etc.) and everything is set correctly. So I remove my Ionic from my FitBit app on my phone and reconnect my Ionic. It then vibrates when I receive texts for several hours, but then stops receiving texts and stops vibrating. So I do the whole process over again. Has anyone had this same experience and resolved it? If so, how did you fix this problem?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @britt4duke, hope you're doing great! Thanks for already troubleshooting this inconvenience, nice way to go! Smiley Wink

Have you tried resetting Bluetooth instead of un-pairing the device? You could try turning off Bluetooth for 10 seconds and then turning it back on and check if it will connect.

Also, try this:

  • Make sure that your Fitbit app is up-to-date.
  • Log out from the Fitbit app.
  • Reboot your phone.
  • Log back in to the Fitbit app.

Try to sync then, also a normal restart usually helps too.

For notifications, try the troubleshooting steps found here. This should also help.

Give this a go and let me know the outcome! Robot wink
