My iconic has started acting up. It will lock on the screen where you set up the screen wake and notifications and just randomly vibrates. When I try the main button (single one on the left) nothing. I’m tried the reset with the left and bottom right button and the shutdown and it nothing is working

That definitely shouldn't be happening.
I suggest that you contact customer support here. However, they're most likely going to ask you to do a factory reset before replacing it.
So you can factory reset the device by going to "Settings" > "About" > "Factory Reset" and once that's done you'll need to setup the Ionic to your account again.

Mine doing exactly the same and I see this issue is becoming more widespread - have you solved issue or get any advice from Fitbit? If this continues over Next do or so I’ll try to exchange it
