am i the only one that likes the new update?

i just find it more polished and how it should have been on release the only thing i do kinda miss is the swipe left to right which is no longer there but that's not a huge issue only really used it to check battery which can just as easily be done buy swipe up but iv had no issues and am enjoying the update

You're not alone, I also like the update. Although I can see why some people are frustrated, I think most of them will eventually get used to it though. Maybe fitbit can re-release the today app for those that would prefer to have it.

I'm happy with the update..

Fortunately my Screen awake is set to Manual and my Notifications are on.... But, where are the settings for these now...

According to the manual our swipe right from the Clock screen they should still be there, but doing that it just jumps back to the clock face.

upon updating it should have taken you through some of these things but in any case just hold the left button then swipe right to left and they and you will find the quick settings for screen wake and notifications

hope this helps

@5k37ch13Thanks... All that gives me is the Settings gear wheel and tapping that I can see Notifications, but no screen wake.

I like it , too. The only thing fitbit hasn't changed yet is access to music while in a workout mode; I would like to be able to scroll through my music, change stations, etc while running. It isn't a hugeeee deal, but it would be nice to not have to stop a long run, open a new music playlist or station, search for gps again, then restart a new run. I can live with it if that is the biggest problem we have, though.

Colinm39, hold the left button for a few seconds and the screen with Screen Wake and Notifications settings will appear.

With so many people having issues with the Ionic, I wanted to add a positive note to the community.  I have had the Ionic since the beginning of the year and have loved it.  I have not experienced any of the update and sync issues that others have experienced.  I got it because of the internal GPS for when I go running (multiple days each week), and the GPS always works well (even on cloudy days).  I just received the newest OS update last night and I actually really like the changes.  It seems to put everything into more logical places.  If I was forced to complain about anything, it would be the weak magnet on the charging cable.  You have to have it just right in order to keep it charging, but the new low power source indicator included in the newest OS update helps me know when it is not fully connected.  It would be nice to have a cable that locks onto the device a little better to ensure a fast, complete charge.  For me, this is a great device.  I debated between this and the Apple watch, but I love the Fitbit app, so it was an easy choice.

@SunsetRunner Thanks for that but all I get there is my normal tap and pay. I used to be able to swipe left to right to get the screen from the clock face.

@SunsetRunnerSolved.. I pushed the left hand button, got the Tap and Pay screen, then swiped and had to tap the "Got it".. Then swiping left or right I got the music and/or the Awake screen..
