i have tried numerous times to update my Ionic but to no avail.  when i tap on the "update tracker software banner"  the screen starts to moves to the left then stops and returns to the same screen with "please update your application to continue"  I have restarted the phone and watch twice.  Tried it with the watch plugged into the computer sitting right next to the router but no luck.

Any suggestions?

It takes quite a long time @Tvokey, be sure your mobile and Ionic are sitting next to each other idle for some while for the sweep to complete. Best plug in your Ionic to charge and leave your mobile next to it as you step away for a bit...The screen color will change to green when its done, so you'll know 😉

It wont even let me get to the point to start the update. I had the watch
and phone next to each other on their respective chargers

Ah, then your mobile doesn't see your Ionic.

Do this:

Go to settings/bluetooth on your mobile.

Delete or forget your Ionic

Switch off bluetooth

Turn bluetooth back on - does it discover your Ionic?

Then best start anew.

Turn bluetooth off on your mobile. Turn your mobile off.

Swipe to settings on your Ionic, swipe up to factory reset. Reset.

When your Ionic settles to clock screen, turn your mobile back on.

Turn on your mobile - go to bluetooth again, switch on - does it discover your Ionic?

If yes

Open the fitbit app. Touch the gray'd index card icon in the upper right for settings. Does it say "connected" next to the pic of your Ionic?

If yes, go back to home screen and run your update while you have dinner.

If now back to clock screen, Open the fitbit app. Touch the gray'd index card icon in the upper right for settings. Touch the pic of your Ionic. Scroll up to notifications, touch the word, re-Pair if it asks

I had to call support and we had to go through the process/update
together. It took a pretty long time but finally worked.

Thanks for letting me know Tvokey.

Was hoping not to have to do that but now I know it is unavoidable....sucks.
