xperia Z5 not compatible with ionic? no music bt control or notifications?

got a z5 compact not even the latest sony xperia phone and there doesnt seem to be compatibility for controlling music va the watch on the fitbits device table?

 

update -

 

wondering if someone could help/ guide me, got the ionic today actually decent & impressed however

i cant seem to get whatsapp/ or any app notifications on it, i can get call notifications but thats it just a screen vibrates 3 times then dissapears.

 

cant get calender updates/ or texts nothing.. ideally want regular updates, meetings etc from calendar and obv whatsapp, and some other reminders throughout the day.

 

and from further research it seems fibit have neglected sony phones alltogether? the apple is all up to date yet the last compatible sony phone is about 4 years old.. ?

 

if it doesnt work for that, then it will be going back i hope not, but bit of a hindsight from fitbit.

 

Any help much appreciated!

I have the same model smartphone and although it's not the compact version, it's the same architecture so Ionic is compatible with it.

Are you saying you can output music through Ionic but can't control it?  Or that you can't even press start to play?
