I go for an extended walk most mornings. Of late at least 3 out of 7 days when I go to note the finish of the walk on the Luxe I find that it has disconnected itself and the mapping of the walk via the GPS is incomplete. I've done nothing that I can think of during the walk to cause it to stop mapping the walk, etc. Is it software? hardware?

Follow up to the above post. I am coming to believe that the problem is with the bluetooth pairing not the GPS.

I've got the same problem, more or less, but worse. It would be bad enough if the walk was incomplete. But while the app and the Fitbit itself both show the same INcorrect maps for my walks, the walk DISTANCE shows a HUGE difference. I start the walk on both the phone Fitbit app and the Fitbit itself, maybe five seconds apart, and one map says I've traveled 9/10ths of a mile, the other a mile and 7/10ths... Or something like that. This is happening EVERY time. Bad, incorrect map and two widely varying distances.
I love the LOOK of this tracker, and it doesn't leave a dent in my wrist like my old Inspire HR... but if it doesn't track my steps correctly, it's useless to me. 😕
