Display both step count and Time on the device home screen?

This has been a pinnacle feature of every Fitbit device I've had since 2015 and now I get this new upgraded one with all these fancy features, yet lacking the basic and most useful feature of them all. I see they have different interfaces with various display combinations of time, date, step count, heart rate, etc. but nothing that shows time and steps together.

There isn't a single article that speaks to this online and when I try to explain this to tech support all they do is instruct me on how I can tap to see step count. That's stupid. Fitbit is and always has been a watch/step counting device. You should be able to just look and see where you're at with both like every other model.

You don't actually "select" steps anywhere.  When that clock face is installed, just tapping the screen where the stat is showing will make it change.  So you can continue tapping and scroll through several stats, or just tap til get to steps, and leave it there.

Hi @TonySoto  there are many clock faces that show steps and time. Go to your Fitbit app, your account and select Third Party apps. Tap on Smartwatch Apps and Clock Faces and then Clock Faces - see all. Scroll down slightly and if you look around, you'll find one. I looked under "By Fitbit" and found quite a few that do what you'd want. See if you can find a face that suits you.

Or just have to select 'Clocks'.  For many of them that display one stat in the display shown, if you read about it, you will see that shown stat can be switched among several choices.  If you have had several models in the past, I would have thought you would realize that is how several clock faces work for other models too.

Hi @Odyssey13! Unfortunately I don't see any options for Luxe and I searched through well over 30. Maybe there's some in there but it's not worth the hassle to click into every option 1-by-1 for the offset chance that it will be compatible and I also don't see any search feature that lets you narrow down to Luxe.

Hi @JohnnyRow ! Tried that too and, though some of the clock faces do show multiple stat displays, there is no option to actually select any of these. It appears that this is intended to just show the user that a different stat can appear in said display but there's no functionality that gives the user an option to select anything. As for my older models, nope, never had to do anything because the default display always showed clock/steps so there was no need to explore customized displays.

Ohhh got it! Just tried it out and, sure enough, the tap changed the date to steps and (like you said) you can just leave it there. Gracias!

Glad you it working for you.

It seems to switch back by itself occasionally, maybe accidentally tapping it, but easy enough to tap to get it back.
