Firmware Update 1.151.16: Interface Issues - Screen & Font Too Big

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The new update makes the watch unusable - font size is too big, everything looks scrunched onto the screen, there's no separation of sections whereas before you could easily scroll and snap to each section for different things. ie. Home screen with all metrics, then each metric broken out in it's individual colored bubble. It was so nice before & I absolutely loved it - so sad to see this happen.

I'm finding it so irritating to check my stats that I hardly look at my watch anymore and am seriously considering swapping it for a different model. I hopped on with support when I updated the firmware and wanted to switch back to the old one, but I was told that it's impossible.

Options Fitbit team should give people:

1. Option to select font size/customize their UI (similar to how you can customize clock faces, same concept)

or 2. The ability to reinstall the previous firmware or undo a firmware update to maintain based on user preference.

Hopefully something is done quickly to resolve this.

I'm having all the same issues and hope everyday for a new update or a reversal. I didn't even have my luxe for 2 weeks before the update and it totally took all the joy out of it. Scrolling stats is a horrible experience now that the sections don't auto snap and all the scrolling text makes it look sloppy.

Agreed. Using my Fitbit is unpleasant now. I understand and agree with making the bigger font available, but I don't understand why they felt the need to remove the smaller font to achieve that. The bigger font may have made the screen easier to use for some users, and that's wonderful, but it shouldn't be at the cost of other users' experience. Making it an option for people to choose which font size they would prefer is the obvious solution, I really don't understand why they didn't do that in the first place. I hope they fix this soon because it's incredibly bothersome and frustrating, which are not words I want to use to describe an expensive and supposedly 'luxury' product.
