I went on a speed walk and ended up with about 7,000+ steps. A few hours later, I was down to 3,000. I restarted it and the steps are still lost on both the app and the fitbit. My iphone has the amount of steps consistent with what they should be (the original fitbit count).

Hi there, @dreadfit. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Fitbit Luxe before reaching out.
How did you track your walk? Did you manually started the walk activity directly from your Luxe by using the Exercise app or used SmartTrack?
Regardless of which one you used, I'd like to know if you also manually logged your walk routine in the Fitbit app? If so, please note that your steps will be recalculated if you manually log an activity as the manually logged activity takes precedence over the steps you tracked while wearing your device at that point in time. For example, if I am wearing my Luxe while walking and I reach 10,000 steps, then I go my Fitbit app and manually log an activity that starts and ends at that point in time for say 1 hour, Fitbit will calculate how many steps I took and it may bring my step count to something below 10,000 steps. For more information, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?.
Hope this helps.
