Fitbit Luxe turns off randomly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Okay now I have another issue.  My Fitbit Luxe randomly turns itself off. Often at night and yesterday while I was in an exercise class. This morning it turned off while I was in the shower (not wearing it). It requires being on the charger to restart. Once it is back on it won't synch with my app. Yesterday the Fitbit showed 9 hours completed but the phone app only showed 8. I have deleted and added the app back, I have restarted both several times. And turned off and on the bluetooth. This morning it showed 80% battery until I wore it and it stopped again, when I put on the charger, it showed 31%. Is my Fitbit dying or my charger not working?

Welcome back to the community forums @Diddy5050.

Thank you for taking the time to share all this information regarding the difficulty that you are experiencing with your Luxe. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Since you mentioned that the device is not turning on unless you connect it to the charger, I'd suggest you take a look at the points listed here:

Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

It just happened again. I checked the charge percentage before I left, there was 47% charge. I went and walked non-stop for an hour. I got back, checked my Fitbit and it was off and had registered 0 steps for that hour. I clean it often as recommended. I don't know what else I can do and it's very frustrating. I'm about to give up on Fitbit and switch to something else.

I am having the same problem

I’m having the same issue. It shuts off, I put it on the charger and it says 78%. I keep it on the charger check it later and it says 52%

That is how mine does. At first the percentage seems high but then it lowers while on the charger. I sometimes notice that it charges while I'm wearing it and other times loses charge quickly while I wear it. When I start with 100% is can drop 6 or more percent in the first 5 minutes.

It turns off and when I put it on the charger it reads eg 40% then within a minute it jumps down to 25% then within 5 minutes it’s saying 100%. So I remove it and if I sync to my app it reads no more than 60%.
I missed an alarm id set as it tuned off overnight.
so disappointing.

Similar issue with my Luxe. 100%  charged yesterday and it worked til this morning. The screen won't come on. I plugged it in and it says battery 81% and showed the time as 10:50am, when it's almost 5pm. I've tried resetting it numerous times with the button on the charger. It will work properly for maybe 24 hrs then screen shuts off again.

Mine has been doing the same thing. I have also followed all of the advice. I saw in a separate post that the Luxe is a discontinued model so maybe it's just past it's used by date. I'm sorry but my Luxe is less than 2 years old and seeing as though so many of us are having this same issue I truly believe it is a self destruct mechanism to push us all into buying new devices. I have not had a single issue with my Fitbit until I changed over to google. Ever since it has been doing all sorts of wacky things. I loved my Fitbit but I won't be replacing it with another one to have it die in under two years. Probably be better off with some no name brand off Amazon!

Super annoyed!

@ManuFitbit - The issue isn't that the battery isn't charging. This seems to be the advice you keep giving but you're not comprehending what people are experiencing. The battery can be fully charged and indicates on device and in app as fully charged then you use your timer and the device turns off. Connect to charger and it indicates the device has charge. We don't get low battery warnings prior to device switching off. IT'S NOT A CHARGING ISSUE. It's a bug in the system

I agree with both of your posts. Especially the part about it having changed significantly since being purchased by google. I am older and not interested in adding a bunch of new measurements which push the info that I am interested in so far down on the app that I can't easily find them. Every update seems to make it a little bit worse and harder for me. My luxe is barely 2 years old also. I had and enjoyed the versa until the face cover literally fell off. However, it was more than 3 years old and I was ready for a change in style. I'm very disappointed with the performance of the luxe. And I really don't think anyone with google fitbit cares.
