Hi there, @Drapercassie. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with your inquiry.
Please note that there is no way to turn off the calories burned on your Luxe. As a friendly reminder, note you still burn calories even if you have been sedentary or were sleeping. We estimate your calorie burn based on your age, gender, height and weight. You burning calories even when you are sleeping. When you are not wearing your Fitbit then it is estimated your passive calories burned. For more information, see How accurate are Fitbit devices?
Probably, the same amount you're seeing after waking up is the same you saw once you created your Fitbit account. This is because after the set up, it then populates your profile with this calorie burn back for six months (even more or years back) or so to give you a sensible baseline against which to compare your future calorie burn once your watch starts tracking your exercise and adding exercise calories to your BMR calories. What you're seeing is an expected behavior and the calorie counts re individualized to you.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

I'm confused why dose the watch still count calories burnt even tho the watch wasn't worn is there not anything I can change in the settings so it just counts the calories that have been burnt

@Drapercassie All Fitbits will show you your total calories burned. It will include your BMR calories plus your activity calories. This is the basic programming of all Fitbits. It includes your BMR calories when you aren't wearing it. This is also part of the basic programming. You must take your Fitbit off to charge it and there might be times when you don't want to wear it during activities where it might get damaged.
A factory reset won't change things. Your Fitbit is behaving normally.
Sorry, but the Fitbit app doesn't report your activity calories separately.
