My Fitbit died while I was out on a walk today. My phone has an app that tracks step count too and I can see that I actually got 2x steps today vs what Fitbit recorded bc it died while I was getting steps in. How do I manually update my step count for the day in the new FitBit app or online for a Fitbit Luxe device?
After nearly an hour of troubleshooting with customer service, the short answer is that if your device battery dies, the data is not tracked and steps cannot be manually added via the app or online.
