I do not want the timer on my fitit. But I'll be doing something and I'll get a buzz and look to see my fitbit is doing a timer. Is there anyway to remove this. I looked on the dashboard but I don't see how to correct problems. VERY FRUSTRATING!

I'm afraid the preloaded apps that comes with your Fitbit Luxe cannot be removed. To stop the timer, see How do I set a timer or use the stopwatch on my Fitbit device?
I'd also recommend navigating your Fitbit Luxe (to get to know the settings and quick settings) by tapping the screen and swiping side to side and up and down:
