How to not double steps when manually logging exercise?

Hello!

I wore my Fitbit to exercise (walking / running) without activating the exercise mode, so the Fitbit just logged it down as my daily steps.

I want to manually log down the exercise, but after doing so, the distance is added on top of my daily step that were already recorded, meaning it doubled the exercise I did as it counted it twice.

Is there anyway to prevent this?

Hi, @natnah111 , that is not how the program is intended.  If you manually log an activity the Fitbit is meant to suppress the steps taken at the same time.  I would recommend deleting your manual log (so the original step calculation should be restored, and try to take a note of the times when the steps were manually logged, and the total.

Then re-create your manual log during the relevant time period.  Your manual log should replace the original detected activity.

I did as suggested but it did not replace original detected activity, just added on.

On the left is the original step calculation (inclusive of my activity on the treadmill) and on the right is after I manually logged my activity. After deleting the manual log, it just reverts back to the left. Thanks for your response, would appreciate any more tips!
