Luxe - Broken Screen - Won't Replace

After weeks of back and forth with Fitbit customer service about my broken Luxe screen (screen flickers then stops displaying altogether until I can restart on the charger), I have just been told that there is "nothing they can do." I know it's not these representatives fault- honestly the customer support is okay, but their policy just screwed me out of $200. I have a broken watch after 8 weeks. No damage, no wear and tear, I take great care of it--I just got a lemon.

When it happened, I thought "Sh*t happens, no biggie." I was patient through multiple calls, sending pics of my broken screen and understanding of their process. I worked customer service for years, so I get it. But I thought at the end of the process that they would make me whole, either by replacing or refunding my watch, but they did not.

I'm sorry to say that this will be my final Fitbit purchase. There are just too many problems lately, and this takes the cake.

Beware buying the Luxe, because evidently Fitbit is not allowing their customer service reps to replace or refund broken items.

Wow, I just ran into this issue today also after having the luxe for less than 3 weeks. Super disappointing to hear they were so unhelpful to you when it is clearly a broken product. I will try to contact support and see if I can get a replacement, but if they give me the same run-around, I’ll just tell the credit card company for the card I bought it with and they will refund me. If you bought it with a credit card, check if your card offers the same protection.

I hope you have better luck! And that is a great tip in regard to the credit card company. I’ll try that.

My band detached and it fell to the ground and the screen broke, so they offered me a discount on a new one. Are you serious? It wasn’t cheap, and it’s clearly defective. I am beyond furious.

Have you bought your watch on the website directly ? Because I got mine on Amazon and it came defected. I sent it back and they got me a new one.

I have to check, but I think it might have been. It was a gift.

The exact same thing just happened to me today. Can a new screen be put on?
