Luxe battery is draining too quickly

Hi, I have had my Luxe for almost 2 years and have noticed over the last few months that the battery once below about 50% will die within the day if not sooner. I have tried the reboot button on the charger and also cleaning the connections and those did help for a little while. It is a pain when I check my battery and it is at 48% and I go to work and 8 hours later it is dead. I have also noticed inconsistent charging. I had it charging for 6 or 7 hours last night and when I unplugged it it said 78% but would not respond when tapped, then this morning I plugged it back in and it said 20%. Dunno whats going on or if this is a regular issue.

Hi there, @Meli12. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Luxe.

If you haven't done so yet, please try the following:

  1. Confirm your Luxe has the latest firmware version. For more information please visit How do I update my Fitbit device? and What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update?
  2. Check to see if you’re using high battery use features. For more information please visit Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
  3. Let’s try a 3 press restart with your charging cable. For more information please see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hi, I have checked and there are no updates. I tried the manual reboot and it seemed ok for a bit but there are still inconsistencies with the battery life. I got up for work last week and it said 20%. When I got to work a half hour later it was 8%. I charge it to 100% and then 6 or 7 hours later it is at 80%. I don't have screen rotate on nor is it a model that receives calls or notifications. I just don't get it. My warranty is also almost up and I don't want to keep having this issue after that and then need a new fitbit. Is this an issue that is common with the Luxe?

This planned obsolescence. They do it on purpose so you'll have to buy a new product. Mine was at 88% and died 4 hours later. I've been buying fit bits for about 8 years and they never last more than 3 years.
