Luxe battery is draining too quickly

Hi team,

Luxe battery is giving me issues. Charged it last night to 100% but the device didn't make it till the morning. I put it in the charger and reset then the display showed 97% charge. I put device back on but within minutes it says my battery is at 73%.

I've had this issue for a few weeks now. The battery life will fluctuate and it's never clear when I need to charge it as the display will change numbers (up and down). Yesterday it showed 35% and I checked back later and it said 64% without charging.

Both device and Fitbit app are up to date and I've optimized the device to have a long battery life.

Hi there, @Robin-25 @sunshine_ack. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Luxe devices are draining quickly. I understand where your concern is coming from, I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%.  Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning). For more tips and recommendations, please make sure you've tried all tips and recommendations provided here Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Same issue here, it just started about 3 weeks ago.  This is not a "batteries drain over time issue" this is something software related.  I wish we had some actual help here because the default replies are infuriating.

MarreFitbit: None of these suggestions work. My fitbit Luxe is only 1.5 years old.  It used to work great and I could go several days without having to charge it.  But now I can't even wear it for 8-12 hours before it dies (sometimes even less than that).  Examples of it dying:  Last Friday, it was 100 percent charged when I put it on at 8:00 a.m. that morning, but during my workout at NOON on the same day (4 hours later), it died so my workout and data was not recorded.  Last night, I put it on before I went to bed -- because I like to track my sleep.  It was 100 percent charged, and when my Fitbit alarm went off at 6:40 a.m. (8 hours later), it died.  So, I am looking at a Garmin and will not be paying for my annual Fitbit app subscription.  Sadly, I have previously posted in this community about the same issue and there are no solutions.  Sounds like contacting customer service for support gets you nowhere as it appears they say to try all the troubleshooting that I have been trying for a few months now.  Really quite the bummer.  Hopefully, Fitbit can figure it out before it is a lost company.  But for now, they have lost me as a 6-year fan and customer.

I've been having the same problems for a while now too, so has my partner who also has a Fitbit Luxe. Is there anywhere I can send it for a repair/ battery replacement?

Having the same issue tbh, I check it before I start work, and it's over 50% , which used to last along time, now it runs out before I finish work, which I only work between 5-7 hours a day.....

Done everything I can that's been suggested and it's still the same.

Decided to try another brand as I've had a fair few issues with all the fitbits I've had previously.

Yep!  I just ordered a Garmin and cancelled my Fitbit app subscription before I was charged another $80.00.  😞  Sad, because I love the design and sleek look of the Luxe, but I can't rely on it. My was only 1.5 years old so to me, the battery shouldn't have deteriorated that much.  I had it 100 percent charged on Tuesday night, put it on at 6:00 p.m., went to do a workout, and it was dead by 7:30 p.m.  1.5 hours.  Doesn't make sense at all.

I've done everything possible to increase the life of my luxe, but nothings worked, was looking at the charge 6, but read some reviews that say the battery life is Dreadful after a month

My Luxe is dying  very quickly also, and the screen has been unresponsive!

Exact same issues here with my wife's luxe. The generic responses to issues are not acceptable. My wife's luxe is becoming rather unusable due to the severe battery issues, so this will be yet another couple of unhappy customers moving to another brand.

Having the same issue ever since there was a software update , that btw I didn’t ask to update!

Exactly same issues. Battery life rubbish. This is my second Fitbit - it’s lasted 17months. Don’t think it’s good enough. Don’t think I’ll be getting another fitbit

That's what I'm seeing in some other forums also. It's a shame because fitbit used to be great. I've had no problems with mine but my wife has had no end of problems with several of hers over the past few years.
