Luxe is losing steps

ANSWERED

Hi, I don’t know if I’m the only one experiencing this, but I believe that my Fitbit is losing some of my steps. I check my steps semi-regularly through the day but have noticed what I think is a loss of around 4-500 steps. Not sure exactly when but, this seems to have been happening for a week or two. What highlighted it to me today was after doing a walk I got the congratulations from the watch that I’d met my step goal for the day. Then half an hour later I’ve got approximately 400 steps to go. I’m not sure how to troubleshoot this. Can anyone help? I’ve had my Fitbit for approximately 2 years. Is it time to replace?

I have the same issue but I noticed it started after the app was updated in February 2025. I read troubleshooting suggestions that it was most likely a battery or syncing issue and did everything that was recommended. Nothing changed. I had a new Luxe so I unpaired the one I thought was failing and paired the brand new one. That didn’t change anything either. I’m still losing anywhere between 200 and 1,000 steps a day on the brand new Luxe so I don’t think replacing it is the fix. Today it’s even worse after the time change because not only am I still losing steps but now my hourly activity range is messed up in the app and it’s impacting the drill down on my steps as well. I think it’s a bug that was introduced in one of the February bug fix releases and it just keeps rolling forward because there have been six bug fixes since February and it’s still happening.

Today mine stopped working in the middle of my Zumba class after it gave me the notification of an activity milestone. Usually I get about 5000 steps a class but when I got home and put it on the charger ( that’s the only way to get it working again) there were only 2300 steps.
last time it zoned out I didn’t notice and only ended up with 24 steps all day !!!!

I had 30000 steps one day this week but later that evening I was down to 20000.  Out walking today got notified at two different times about 20 minutes apart that I had 10000 steps done

I have run into this with my Charge 5.  Over the past few weeks I've noticed I'd lose several hundred steps at various times of the day.  I thought I was imagining things until last night when I got my daily buzz I reached my steps target.  I looked at the Charge and it said I meet the goal with an hour to spare.  Then at 11:57pm I got a second notice I had meet my steps target.  I had lost a couple hundred steps over than hour.  Its been happening A LOT.
