Luxe is unresponsive

Hi, my Luxe won’t turn on, I have tried charging it and resetting it with the button on the charging cable. It vibrates and shows the fitbit icon, which then quickly disappears and the screen is  blank again. Please help?!?

This has recently happened to mine. It randomly started glitching whilst on holiday and now the screen is black and won't respond. The battery is fully charged.  I have reset it many times and it has made no difference. 😞

Hi there, @DonDons24 @Jabbott64. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Luxe devices are still unresponsive. I understand your concern and how you must be feeling, I will do my best to help you with this!

Since your devices are stuck on the Fitbit Logo, please try the following steps in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again. 


With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Luxe first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Thank you for your reply. I have followed all of the steps as directed but it has made no difference. The screen will not respond to taps and will not swipe in any direction. I have contacted Amazon,who I purchased my phone from, and as it is less than 2 years old they are going to give me a full refund due to it being faulty.

Thank you. I followed the steps but didn't fix my issue sadly. My fitbit Luxe with the gold band was so beautiful. I ended up getting a full refund for it.

I am having the same issues and tried the steps with no luck.  I purchased this in January of this year and upset that this happened not even a year later.

I am having a similar problem. My luxe keeps shutting down several times per day, sometimes in the middle of an exercise session!  I reset it, do all the Bluetooth resets, phone restart etc but it still shuts down and I have to put it on the charger to get it to respond. The battery has at least 70% so it’s not that. It seems this issue may have started after the last update at the end of July. Fitbit moderator please look into this. I never had this problem with my luxe before recently. Very frustrating.

Hi! I had also the same problem, at first, I had to charge it every 3 days, then it wouldn’t keep de charge for more than a day. But now, it juste won’t open anymore. When I put the charger, you can so the logo on the watch, but then nothing else happens. I did different things to solve the problem as recommended in some postings find on the community, but it didn’t fix my problem. I bought my Fitbit Luxe in December 2021. 

Is it normal that it only has a life expectancy of not even 3 years ? I read many postings and it seems like a major problem. What can I do about that ? Thank you

I finally gave up and bought an Apple Watch. It broke my heart because I've had a Fitbit for years but I can't have an unresponsive watch. Now I'm having to learn to use a completely different device.
