Luxe issues

I've used a fitbit for years, going through various types.  My latest is the Luxe and I'm SO disappointed in it.  Here's a list of what's going wrong:

1. It automatically moved ahead a day (no idea how to change that)

2. My steps are recorded incorrectly - it even credits me with steps when I'm asleep!

3. My heart rate seems to always to be incorrect.  I've checked it the old fashioned way but counting my plus and comparing it to fitbit - never syncs.

4. My sleep record is completely off - last night I slept 7 hours without waking but it registed 1 hour 56 minutes!

If anyone has had the same problems and fixed them, I'd be happy to know what to do.

Hi there, @omaizzy. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Luxe. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products into consideration.

1. Note that the time on your Fitbit Luxe may be wrong after you travel to a different time zone or when clocks change for Daylight Savings. If you changed time zones and the time on your Luxe is still incorrect after syncing, make sure the time zone setting is correct. For more information, see How do I fix the time on my Fitbit device?

2. By any chance, did you set up MobileTrack? MobileTrack is a feature that records basic stats such as steps using your phone's sensors if you don't have a Fitbit device available. But there was a fan or anything buzzing nearby, or if your phone was vibrating during that time, that might have caused you to receive incorrect steps tracked.

One of the recommendations is to disable this feature by following the steps described in this help article and monitor your tracker's behavior to see if this has any relationship.

3. Note that you might notice slight variations between your heart-rate reading on your new Fitbit devices compared with your old ones due to improvements in the heart rate sensor and algorithm. For more information, see What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

4. Please try to change the sleep sensitivity setting. For example, if your sleep is now set to "Normal", try to change it to "Sensitive" and test your Fitbit device. Take into consideration that normal mode can work well if you make significant movements like rolling over, your device records time spent awake. This setting is appropriate for most users.

In sensitive mode, your device records nearly all movements as time spent restless or awake. This setting may be helpful if you wake up feeling tired even though your sleep history shows sufficient rest.

To change your sleep sensitivity setting:

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab, then tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Advanced Settings > Sleep Sensitivity and make your changes.
