Luxe screen shorting out

I have had my fitbit luxe for a little over a month (purchased Black Friday weekend 2022 from Target). A few days ago, the screen started shorting out. You can hardly see the display, and when you can, it's streaked with lines that flicker in and out. It's more or less unusable now.

 

I have not worn it in the water.

 

I have tried restarting the Fitbit and charging it up fully. Neither of these resolved the situation. I tried to reach out to the support chat, but received no response after waiting over 15 minutes. This is extremely disappointing.

 

Anyone else have this problem and able to fix it?
