Luxe stopped receiving text messages

My Luxe stopped receiving text messages a few weeks ago.  I've tried everything that's been recommended and read other similar reports here in the Community.  But, still nothing has worked.  Hope someone can offer a solution that works.

Hi @RussML  any chance you're with Verizon and having to switch to Google + messages?

To better assist you, may we know if you're an Android or iOS user? If @Odyssey13' question doesn't describe your situation, may I know if you're an iOS user and you're referring to iMessages?

In the meantime, please confirm whether you've tried all troubleshooting steps provided in these help articles Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones and/or Why are notifications delayed or missing?

Not with Version or Google + messages.  Found solution on an Apple website.  DND on device was changed to ON.  Now that's OFF and receiving messages again, but only if iMessages on phone are in background or are closed.
