Luxe stopped working

My Luxe battery was low (18%) so I put it on the charger. The screen lit up with the Fitbit logo as it normally does. I checked it an hour later and it's dead. Black screen, won't sync to my phone, and does not light up at all. I removed it from the charger and attached again. Dead. I'm so frustrated.

I tried to contact customer support and got the a message stating that I'm not allowed access to their page. This is my third and last Fitbit tracker. Searching online for a more reliable tracker.

Hey there Jan! I just had this happen to me the other day. I took to YouTube and found an answer...

Is your charger plugged straight into the wall? In my case, it seems some charge blocks and outlets are too powerful for our Fitbits - so just like when you overload a circuit in your home, the Fitbit just shuts down and needs to be reset.

Two things to do from here:

1. Find a suitable new power source - try plugging your charger into a USB outlet/block that is 1.0A OR into a computer. When mine overloaded twice, my charger was plugged into a "fast charging" USB block the first time then a USB outlet with 2.1A the second. The lower voltage has worked for me since. Once you've plugged your charger into your new power source continue to step 2.

2. Turning your Fitbit back on - put your Fitbit on the charger. There should be a small black button on the USB portion of the charger, locate it. When you've found it, click it three times then wait. Your luxe should turn back on and charge 🙂

Hope this works for you!

Oh my gosh, yeajess! This worked!!! I wondered if it was the power source. I followed your directions and my screen lit up. My Fitbit was still showing yesterday's date and the time that it crashed. After installing the newest upgrade, I'm back in business. Thank you so much for your help!

My husband ordered a ring fitness tracker as a Christmas gift for me last night,  so I have a backup plan for future glitches.

Thanks again.😊

@JanOC   the restart is similar to doing a reboot of our phones or computers. Somehow it puts things back to where they ought to be and it looks like you're back to stepping! Great news.
