I just upgraded from a Charge 4 to a Luxe and now my device will only sync when I am connected to the internet. I live on a mountain in Montana and spent most of the last two weeks in national parks so I'm often off the grid. Why do I need internet when my Fitbit is connected by Bluetooth? This is a deal breaker.

I'm surprised it used to work ok with your Charge 4!
When we sync, the app takes data from your tracker and uploads it to the fitbit servers (the data is not held on the app). So, we need both Bluetooth to connect the app to the tracker and internet access to connect the app to the fitbit servers.
